Italian football giants AC Milan have been handed a big boost following the news that young attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz has recovered from COVID.
AC Milan disclosed that the player has tested negativefor COVID via a statement released earlier on Tuesday.
Brahim, 22, tested positive for COVID earlier this month. His positive test for the virus was confirmed on October 15. The creative midfielder has recovered from the virus after he returned a negative test forCOVID and he’s allowed to train with his Milan teammates.
Spanish player Diaz has recovered from COVID, but he won’t be available for his Italian football side when they take on Torino at the San Siro on Tuesday night. He had earlier missed the 4-2 comeback win over hosts Bologna at the weekend. Milan can move to the top of the Italian football league with a win over Torino.
Brahim has been one of the best players at Milan this season with a return of four goals and two assists in all competitions. The Spaniard will miss his second game for Milan against Torino as revealed earlier and it is uncertain whether he would be in contention for the big game against Jose Mourinho and his AS Roma side on Sunday.
While Brahim won’t be available to face Torino on Tuesday night, Frenchman Theo Hernandez is in the squad to face the team from Turin after recovering from COVID two days ago. He’s expected to start the Torino game on the substitutes’ bench.
Spanish attacker Brahim impressed while he was on loan at Italian football giants Milan from Real Madrid last season and that prompted the Rossoneri to seal his return on a two-year loan deal this summer. Seven-time European champions Milan have the option to make the move permanent for €22m at the end of the loan deal.
