The Italian Serie A is set to commence this weekend and its new campaign is one that has a lot of questions attached to it. Questions like “Who will be crowned this year’s champions?” will, of course, appear at the very top of the list but there are others too that have been asked even though the answers can’t be gotten yet until after the season comes to an end. One other question is whether Inter Milan can bring in a perfect replacement for the departed Romelu Lukaku after the Belgium international striker completed his dream return to England to continue from where he stopped at Chelsea.
Although they have completed the signings of two new attackers in persons of striker Edin Dzeko from AS Roma and forward Denzel Dumfries from PSV Eindhoven, they still look like a team that will lack some attacking flair this season when compared to how they played last season. They also lost attacking right-back Achraf Hakimi this summer after they sold the Moroccan star to French Ligue 1 heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer transfer window.
Dzeko is already a proven striker in the Serie A but the question still remains whether he has what it takes to once again help Inter beat the likes of Juventus, AC Milan, Lazio, Napoli, and Roma to the title.
