Italian football giants Juventus are reportedly still keen on signing highly rated Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar ahead of this summer’s transfer window. According to the publication from Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus still want to sign French national team player Aouar having tried and failed to sign the 22-year-old Frenchman last summer. The Italian football giants were not able to raise the required funds for the transfer. Premier League outfit Arsenal also wanted to sign Houssem Aouar last summer but were handicapped financially just like what was obtainable with Italian football giants Juventus.Arsenal needed a playmaker last summer but were unable to sign Aouar.
The player has disclosed his intention to stay at Arsenal though it all depends if the Gunners can find an agreement with his parent club. It looks like Arsenal have moved on from Aouar with latest reports linking the club with Real Betis playmaker Nabil Fekir, who’s also a French international like Aouar.
The latest development concerning Aouar and Arsenal has left the door open for Italian football top flight champions Juventus to sign their transfer target without any resistance. €40m is the transfer fee for Aouar according to the aforementioned publication and Juventus are hoping to involve Italian fullback Mattia De Scglio in the deal. De Scglio is on a season-long loan at Lyon from Juventus and a permanent fee for him could be around €10m meaning that Italian football heavyweight Juventus will have to pay just €30m to sign Aouar from Lyon.
