Juventus manager Max Allegri has urged the fans to show patience towards summer signing Cristiano Ronaldo, who failed to score for the second game on the bounce. Miralem Pjanic and Mario Mandzukic found the net during the league clash against Lazio and this ensured that the club picked up the perfect tally of six points from their opening two games.
Ronaldo made the surprise move to Turin from Real Madrid during the summer transfer window after he opted to pursue a new challenge after nine seasons in Spain. The first two league games have not gone as planned with most of his shots being intercepted by the shot-stopper but it may not be long before he scores his maiden goal for the Bianconeri.
With victories over Chievo and Lazio, the Serie A holders have jumped straight to the top of the standings with six points from their opening two games. Nevertheless, they can expect another testing challenge for the Scudetto with close competitors Napoli starting the campaign with successive victories. Their most recent one ended in a 3-2 triumph over AC Milan where they were two goals down at one point.
